What You'll Get
To be considered a historical landmark, buildings must be at least 50 years old and contain at least one Founding Father's skeleton. Feel history in your bones with this Groupon.
$20 for a Historic or Ghost Walking Tour through Old Sacramento for Two (Up to $40 Value)
Tours begin at the Pony Express statue, where a guide in period dress leads participants on an easy walk and a lighthearted lesson on city history since the 1850s. Guides on the Hysterical History Tour expound on the Old Town's traditional image with anecdotes about Victorian bathhouses, buildings that survived the great fire, and the former inhabitants of the Lady Adams building. At the Eagle Theatre, they often invite participants to act out a period melodrama, sometimes on the actual stage.
On Hysterical Walk of the Dead ghost tours, guides take participants down dark back alleys and side streets while divulging supernatural stories of city history. They add a humorous twist to spooky tales about the old stocks and the river's flooding and keep groups entertained with music and dances. They often channel the spirits from their stories—revealing details about their lives and favorite sitcoms—and may also lead participants to ghostly sightings.

About Hysterical Walks & Rides
When Paul and Maureen Messier began their walking tour through the English town of Bath, the guide, a comedian and street performer, immediately captured their attention. Drawing on Paul's background in producing standup comedy at The Improv and Maureen's experience as a theater instructor, they decided to put their own spin on what they'd experienced. Since then, they've traveled extensively and cobbled together eclectic elements from other tours with theatrical flair and a sense of humor.
