Q:

Does the boat come equipped with a saltwater fishing licence that will cover non-residents?

Rob W.  asked on  Dec 27, 2012

A:

Great question! Residents and visitors both need to obtain fishing licenses - they are not issued to vessels. Here's the FWC's page on licenses and how to obtain them. http://www.myfwc.com/license/

Q:

If I purchase a week day $99.00 trip and then deside to use it on a weekend, is there a charge or is a change allowed without a penality? Thank you,

gerald s.  asked on  Dec 26, 2012

A:

The difference in the 2 is availability: there are fewer weekend groupons available for purchase. In order to accommodate those who purchase the weekend groupon, we ask that you purchase the option that you will be most able to use.

Q:

Thank you for the QUICK response (within 30 mins to viewers), but what is the earliest I'd be able to book? Would like to give this to my Dad for him & I, but I'll be moving at the end of next month. Thank you

Mike M.  asked on  Dec 24, 2012

A:

If you are asking about the groupon itself, once you've paid for it and they've issued your certificate (usually not long after your purchase but definitely within 24 hrs) you can call us to make a reservation. If you are asking about availability for a reservation, I'm sorry, but I don't have access to that information right now. You are welcome to call as early as 7am tomorrow morning to check availability. We will be closed Tuesday but re-open at 7am on Wednesday. Weekends book up fastest so better to call sooner rather than later if you are looking to purchase the weekend option. I hope this helps. Please feel free to post again if you need more info or have another question.

Q:

Maybe I missed it, but from what dates can I book? Thanks

Mike M.  asked on  Dec 24, 2012

A:

The groupon expires at the end of March and we are currently taking reservations through then. So, you are welcome to call as soon as you know when you would like to use the groupon to help ensure availability.

Q:

Is gas included? If not, what should it cost for a full day of boating?

mark g.  asked on  Dec 23, 2012

A:

As mentioned in the ad, fuel is additional at a charge of $5 per gallon based on usage. Gallons used depends on the way the boat is used - fishing uses less fuel than sight-seeing. We see fuel use range on average from 3 or 4 gallons up to 12 gallons but there's no way to know how much you'll use before you go out. Hope this helps!

Q:

Can 3 people be on the boat all day? Can we bring fishing gear? How long are the instructions?

Herman T.  asked on  Dec 23, 2012

A:

Depending on the size and layout of the boat, up to 5 ppl can be onboard. Yes, you can bring fishing gear. (water sports gear, i.e. tubing, waterskiis, etc, are not allowed). Once you arrive, you will complete paperwork, as well as review the operation of the boat and navigation of the waterways. In general, you will be on the water about 45 minutes after arrival.
