Frozen yogurt soothes sweet teeth and consciences alike with its status as a more healthful dessert alternative as well as its guilt-atoning brain freezes. Treat yourself to ice cream's overachieving cousin with today's Groupon: for $5, you get $10 worth of frozen treats at I Love Yogurt in Summerlin.
A colorful collection of ’80s kitsch encases customers at I Love Yogurt, its various eye candies setting the stage for the variety of self-serve frozen yogurts and more than 50 toppings (priced at $0.36 per ounce). Cheer on a friend playing Donkey Kong or Pac-Man as you gobble up your confectionary creation. Detain the Miami Vice Island Banana, pity fools with a Mr. T Tart, or breathe new frosty life into cereal by drizzling a dairy-free orange burst sorbet with bits of Cookie Crisp and Fruit Loops. Accessorize dairy-free, low-carb, and no-sugar-added yogurt outfits with organic fruit and real whipped cream. The friendly staff keeps the licking-room floor in tip-top shape as patrons gobble their glacial snacks, which act as a more wholesome alternative to ice cream or drinking butter.
I Love Yogurt
Though more than 20 years separate childhood pals Richard Bowen and Branden Powers from the 1980s, they return to the beloved decade of their youth every day at I Love Yogurt. There, old-school sweets, such as Pop Rocks and jujubes compose a retro candy wall, while throwback soft drinks such as TaB and Squirt fill the soda fountain. The duo further writes its love letter to the 80s by piling 64 classic arcade games into the shop, from Frogger and Pac-Man to Asteroids and the infamous Duck Hunt sequel, Duck Stakeout.
The themed décor and treats, however, are bells and whistles surrounding the business' main focus: frozen yogurt. Staffers craft 12 rotating flavors of dairy-free, low-carb, and no-sugar added yogurt, including cake batter and watermelon sorbet. More than 50 ingredients—including organic fruit and real whipped cream—top off those treats, while classics from the cereal bar such as Franken Berry and KIX further satisfy munchies.
