The Deal

$159 for a 12-week learn-to-play-hockey skating program ($345 total value)

  • 12 skating classes and practice sessions ($240 value)
  • Skates ($80 value)
  • Jersey ($25 value)

This Groupon is valid at the Lake Forest and Aliso Viejo locations.

Classes are separated into two groups: kids aged 4-6 and kids aged 7-12. They then attend 30-minute classes where they learn to play hockey, with instruction that includes the basics of skating before putting what they’ve learned to use during practice sessions. See the class schedule.

Lake Forest Ice Palace and Aliso Viejo Ice Palace

The pristine sheets of ice at Ice Palace’s outposts in Lake Forest and Aliso Viejo serve as well-kept tundras ideal for diversions such as hockey, figure-skating, and public-skating sessions. Future NHL stars and misinformed basketball players can both sharpen their stick-handling skills in the facilities' Learn to Play Hockey programs, whereas Learn to Figure Skate sessions teach beginners everything from forward and backward moves to entry-level jumps and spins. Held throughout the week at both locations, open-skating sessions allow the general public to let loose as couples slip on their skates, hold hands, and fearlessly tie each other's laces.
