Whole Body Cryotherapy (WBC) is a fast and healthy process that accelerates the body’s natural recovery process while improving overall well-being and energizing the body. WBC’s non-invasive, hyper-cooling process lowers a person’s skin temperature to approximately 30ºF during a session of up to three minutes (180 seconds). The Cryosauna™ uses liquid nitrogen to cool the chamber, but clients are not in direct contact with the gas. While inside the Cryosauna™, the body is enveloped by -220ºF (-140ºC) air. As a result of the rapid drop in skin temperature, your body draws your blood to your core to regulate body temperature. When you exit the Cryosauna™, blood is pumped vigorously around the body as it returns to your extremities which in turn enhances oxygen supply and removes toxins. The cold also triggers the nervous system to release feel-good endorphins.
