About Ichiban Hibachi Steakhouse & Sushi Bar
Although there's no intermission or Playbill program, dinner at Ichiban Hibachi Steakhouse & Sushi Bar is as much a performance as anything running on Broadway. Guests are seated around hibachis—large grills—as chefs perform a culinary ballet. Meat and veggies are sliced and diced with rapid precision, rice is tossed about like confetti, and there's plenty of towering flames to mesmerize eyes. The experience makes it a popular destination for celebrations and it's also kid friendly; youngsters get special chopsticks that are easier for little hands to manipulate.
In addition to hibachi-style dining, Ichiban's chefs also roll up a variety sashimi, sushi rolls, and specialty maki. They further dazzle the senses with their signature Sushi and Sashimi on a Boat—an ornately crafted miniature boat filled with sushi and sashimi passengers, with whom you get to cruelly play god. Other Japanese specialties include teriyaki dishes and udon noodles, as well as a few Western favorites, such as filet mignon.
