Questions and Answers 10 questions

Q:

If my child is above 36" tall, but still wants to ride with an adult, is that allowed? I'd still pay for him...

Shauna S.  asked on  Nov 30, 2012

A:

Yes, your child can ride with an adult. He/she will, however, have to be in their own tube, and you can hold on to the child's tube (there are handles to hold). For safety reasons anyone over 36" must be in their own tube. Double Tubes are designed for one adult and one child UNDER 36". We make sure all tubers go through an orientation prior to starting the fun so all your questions and concerns will be answered. Hope to see you on the hill!

Q:

You mention trails for nordic skiing and snowshoeing. Is there an additional cost for these activities and if so how much?

jim d.  asked on  Nov 29, 2012

A:

Those are separate activities not included with this offer. You would need to contact X-Sports directly for more information and a quote about those activities.

Q:

With regular priced adult tickets, children are free with a paying adult. Does that apply to this deal? Will this deal allow two children in free with two adults using this groupon offer?

Andrea  asked on  Nov 28, 2012

A:

Yes it will, as long as the two children are under 36" tall and are riding with adults.

Q:

Is this suitable for kids 4-6 years old?

Jeremy G.  asked on  Nov 26, 2012

A:

There are "milder" lanes which younger children can ride on. Remember, it's about weight. A small child will not go nearly as fast as an adult. Anyone under 36" tall does not need a ticket, but they must ride in a double tube with a paying adult.

Q:

Where is the location of the snow? On the map, it's showing Boise, but I'm guessing that isn't correct...

Corinne L.  asked on  Nov 27, 2012

A:

We are in Garden Valley, 45 miles north of Boise. No snow yet, but will begin man-made snowmaking next week (assuming temperatures cooperate.)

Q:

We visited last year and our youngest was not 36" but was allowed to ride with us. I see in the fine print that there is a 36" tall requirement. Is this different than last year or are the little ones still able to ride down with parents? Just wanted to check before we bought. Thanks!

Tracy  asked on  Nov 27, 2012

A:

Rules are the same as last year. Child under 36" must ride with a paying adult. Child does not need a ticket.

Q:

I was just on the website and it says that children under 36" tall are free with a paying adult. So if we bought this groupon, why would our child not be free?

Hillary H.  asked on  Nov 28, 2012

A:

Anyone under 36" is free with a paying adult (not another child). So a groupon is not needed for the little one, but an adult would have to have a ticket.

Q:

Heaven forbid, what happens if you do not have enough snow to open?

Debbie S.  asked on  Nov 26, 2012

A:

We are planning to open 12/21, even if it is with man-made snow only, like last year. If we were unable to open before March 3rd, 2013 (which has never happened), we would have to refund groupons.
