Il Giardino at the Oceanfront
A wood-burning oven gives focaccia bread and pizza dough that authentic look and taste—something Tony Gargiulo, Il Giardino Ristorante's founder, discovered on a trip to Florence back in 1983. It's a lesson he never forgot, offering his guests the same epicurean experience some 4,400 miles from Italy. Besides the two rustic staples, chefs whip up generous portions of other Italian specialties daily, including lasagna, penne alla vodka, and veal parmigiana. The pastry chef ensures that any meal can end on a sweet note, offering tiramisu and cannoli's alongside such American favorites as New York–style cheesecake.
