For $20, today's side deal gets you a five-pass punch card to the fantastical play space at Imagination Avenue, a $40 value. The Avenue is designed for kids 1–7, but all young ones up to 10 years old are welcome. Kids under one are free, as are adults so long as they are accompanied by an energetic minor.
This 3,500-square-foot kid ranch includes a child-scaled town with playful renditions of a school, grocery store, fire station, hospital, jail, sewage treatment plant, and more. There's also a standard jungle gym, and, for creative little critters, a puppet theater and puzzle/coloring room. Imagination Avenue's owners believe the stimulating environment helps kids build social skills and creative thought processes. Meanwhile, the in-house café helps them build valuable eating skills with items such as quesadillas with organic salsa ($2) and whole-wheat pita pizza ($2).
No shoes are allowed anywhere in Imagination Avenue. Socks are available for purchase.

- Our children love going and would stay forever if we let them. And the bonus living in AZ over the summer is that it's INSIDE! – Shannon, Google Maps
- Your child can play house, go to the movies, be a teacher, work at Home Depot, be a doctor or fireman. The possibilities are endless. – Michelle D., Insider Pages

On Imagination Avenue, kids eight and under rule the roost. Kids let their creativity soar as they pretend in any of nine playhouses that compose a scaled-down replica of Anytown, USA. Speed demons borrow cars from the firehouse to cruise Main Street, while aspiring builders browse Home Depot for the materials needed to shore up the schoolhouse walls. Each business is stocked with props and toys, ranging from dress-up clothes in the boutique to out-of-date National Geographics at the medical clinic. When kids get tired of tea parties, the onsite café purveys healthy snacks such as almond-butter and jelly sandwiches and deli sandwiches on artisan rolls. Imagination Avenue also offers birthday party packages and hosts special events throughout the year.
