When and how did you first develop a passion for your work?
Leadership staff developed their passion for entertainment through the elite programs and schools in the Chicago comedy scene along with improv and stand up.
What’s your favorite part of your job?
Developing new talent that go on to become professionals in the entertainment business.

Yes…its customer service, friendly faculty and community of performers.

David Stuart, Improv Playhouse founder, specifically came out of the Players Workshop and Second City traditions and has grown the performance stages and training programs into some of the region’s most robust. Vanessa Bayer, of SNL fame, is one of IP’s former performers. Options for adults, youth, Fortune 500’s and small businesses continue to evolve as the “go to” organization for event entertainment and team building.

And at Improv Playhouse, comedy pros teach aspiring comics both young and old how to do so and be funny at the same time with its improv classes. Aside from improvising, the comedy gurus also teach youngsters the basics of musical comedy, filmmaking, and more through its summer camps, and they take to the stage themselves in occasional shows, corporate events, and parties.
