During the four-hour Concealed Firearms Permit Class for Utah, students receive training that qualifies them to apply for a nonresident Utah Concealed Firearm Permit. Combined with a Washington license, the Utah permit allows its holders to carry concealed firearms in 33 states. The class does not involve live-fire training, and students must already possess a Washington concealed-pistol license to complete the Utah application. Washington concealed-pistol license is not a prerequisite to attend the class. All equipment is included; tuition does not include the $51 application fee for the Utah Concealed Firearm Permit. Classes are typically held on select weekends from 8 a.m.–noon or 2 p.m.–6 p.m.

At a Glance
With certifications from organizations such as the Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission and American Women's Self Defense Association, the coed instructors of InSights Training Center teach unarmed and armed personal-security courses under the direction of Army Ranger and Special Forces veteran Greg Hamilton. The highly trained staff has instructed more than 25,000 students in its civilian courses alone. Topics range from the Women's Basic Handgun Safety & Responsibility to Unarmed Self Defense, which teaches you to stun an attacker and escape to safety. Outside of training civilians, the instructors provide specialized training programs for members of law enforcement and the military.
