About This Deal
Services to help seniors age in place. All services performed by aging in place specialist and licensed occupational therapist in states of Michigan and Indiana.
Home modification assessment*- comprehensive assessment of the individual in all areas of their home, property, and vehicles. Occupational therapist and client develop plan for modifications in the home. If modifications include construction or remodeling, client will be directed to trusted contractors and builders. Occupational therapist to oversee and collaborate with client through modification process. Indefinite consultation with occupational therapist included!
Home safety inspection*- 120 point home safety inspection to prevent falls and injury in the home. Client given detailed safety report with recommendations and one additional consultation with occupational therapist.
Occupational therapy assessment*- comprehensive OT assessment tailored to client’s concerns and goals. Client will receive report from assessment along with recommendations and/or treatment plan.
Senior safety checks- in-person checks on clients and companionship for individuals living alone. For one month of checks, one a week is performed and additional checks included upon request. This is a great option to ensure older parents are doing well when adult children do not live locally!
Vacant home monitoring- one month of home watch to assess for storm damage, water problems, roof leaks, or electric problems. One check per week. Additional checks performed for weather or other urgent concerns.

About Independence at Home PLLC
Founded by Bridget Benoit, Independence at Home aims to provide home modification services so people can stay safe and independent in their homes. Bridget is an occupational therapist licensed in Michigan and Indiana. She is also a Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS) through the National Association of Home Builders. We can also provide in-home occupational therapy treatment to help people maximize independence with the activities they want and need to do daily. Services are provided either in-home or via the internet through a secure telehealth platform. This allows us to reach individuals in areas that may not otherwise have access home therapy services.
