What You'll Get
While Social Contract Theory makes it possible for human beings to coexist in a responsible and civilized manner, it also forces humans to be surrounded by one another. Today's Groupon makes sure no one comes too close with a Women's Self-Defense Seminar through Indianapolis Downtown Boot Camp for $29, a $65 value. Women's-only classes come together in small groups at the headquarters off of Fort Wayne Avenue. Choose to attend class on the first or second Saturday of March, April, or May at 1 p.m.
While awesomeness is an ally in the workplace and on horseback, it can increase your chances of being kidnapped and held for ransom. At Indianapolis Downtown Boot Camp's Women's Self-Defense Seminar, you'll learn escape tactics and find out where and how to strike back against an attacker when evasion isn't an immediate option. Your class lasts 90–120 minutes and is capped at 20 students to provide plenty of one-on-one instruction. The friendly experts teach students how to deal with or avoid potentially dangerous scenarios and individuals while identifying high-incidence danger zones. Self-defense seminars can lend an intimidating confidence to your stride, naturally warding off would-be criminals with the echo of your formidable step.
Fumbling for your pepper spray, foghorn, or vial of poison can leave you vulnerable to attack, and once you have the poison on hand, you have to trick the perp into swallowing it. In the critical first moments of an attack, Indianapolis Downtown Boot Camp makes sure you'll know how to utilize your natural fist, kick, and elbow weapons. You'll learn how to overpower accosting behavior with a working knowledge of an attacker's fragile anatomy and weakness for banana cream pie.
While the self-defense seminar is a newer class without many reviews, Indianapolis Downtown Boot Camp itself receives high marks from one Yelper who gives the program five stars:
- This is a little known secret! All the personal attention you can get in the way of a personal fitness trainer without the high expense! ¬– Debbie S.

About Fire Eye Fitness
Certified personal trainer Todd Beattie has worked to save lives as a US Navy search-and-rescue swimmer, spends his spare time competing in Ironman triathlons, and continues to train in a variety of martial arts that he's been doing for 22 years. The lifetime fitness guru channels each of these experiences into his dynamic aerobic and plyometric workouts, which marry functional fitness with techniques garnered from his time in the martial arts and military. Todd and his dutiful instructors, both of whom are black belts, help clients shape up during customized, one-on-one personal training and 20 weekly fitness classes. They motivate small groups of fitness-seekers with boot camps and boxing sessions while keeping a watchful eye to ensure students don't overexert their muscles. These encouraging trainers also help women to protect themselves through self-defense seminars, during which they teach participants how to identify, avoid, and escape from suspicious people, attackers, and door-to-door used-car salesmen.
To further assist clients in reaching their fitness goals, Fire Eye Fitness posts weekly meal plans complete with online calorie counts that keep diets on track and strengthen wills against guilt trips from jilted chocolate cakes. Every month, the generous instructors donate a portion their profits to a rotating roster of charities.
