Famed Spanish explorer Ponce de León was forced to forgo his quest for the mythical land of wine after an accidental tumble into the fountain of youth left him eternally underage. Take up his abandoned journey with today’s Groupon to Indulge Wine Bar, a scenic, Highlands Ranch spot voted one of Denver’s top five Best Wine Bars by CityVoters. Whet your wine-flavored whistle with one of the following options:

  • For $30, you get three one-hour wine classes (a $60 value).
  • For $15, you get a luxury red-wine flight and three handcrafted truffles (a $32.50 value).

Hosted by one of Indulge's sommeliers, such as Wine Director John Benson, each hour-long wine appreciation class eases newbies into full-blown oenophiles by focusing on one varietal or region per session. Curious tipplers can trace the trail of their glass's contents from its humble vine beginnings to its current state of lip-smacking sumptuousness with a wine study guide. Seasoned sippers can still appreciate the course, plus it's an opportunity to sample Indulge's tantalizing international menu. Classes are most Tuesday and Thursday evenings and start at 6:30 p.m. Groups of eight or more can benefit from a private tasting wherein tasters decide the date, topic, and time of the class.

Wine flights are like dressing rooms for the tongue, allowing you to sample at leisure before committing to a bottle purchase. The luxurious flavors of a Freemark Abbey Cabernet (Napa Valley), Jordan Cabernet (Alexander Valley), and Silver Oak Cabernet (Alexander Valley) are featured in this sumptuous red-wine flight. Pair your luxury red-wine flight of fancy with three decadent truffles and discover the chocolate-splattered, wine-covered road to inner peace, or give the gift of informative, heart-warming libations this holiday season. Indulge's elegant, soothing ambience aids in pulling down the relaxation veil across your computer-screen-strained peepers. Located in the Highlands Ranch Town Center, Indulge features live jazz most Sunday evenings and is open seven days a week, with extended hours on Friday and Saturday nights.

Reviews

5280 magazine deems Indulge one of its new discoveries, and CityVoters rank it #2 in their top five Best Wine Bars. It has also been featured on YourHub.com and Westword.com's blog. Yelpers give it an average of 3.5 stars.

  • I like the wine bar for what it’s not: This isn’t a snooty spot. Instead, Indulge encourages diners to explore with suggested pairings, an adept waitstaff, and the option of 30 wines by the glass or half-glass. – 5280
  • They have done a fabulous job on the decor. It is modern yet inviting. The patio has the best view in the Denver area. – Duane B., CityVoter

About Indulge Wine Bar

Indulge Wine School's staff of educators, such as Kris in Jacksonville, a wine expert and blogger, expands wine knowledge with ease, having turned the revelry-steeped tassels of nearly 3,000 graduates. Classes of 12–20 take place in venues throughout the United States, as students swirl and sip their study materials and nibble complimentary appetizers. Every class ends with a Q&A session, during which potation professors shine a light on oenophilic mysteries including tannin content and regional differences. Afterward, students continue to ferment knowledge at home with a complimentary electronic copy of Indulge's book A Fun and Informative Introduction to the Wonderful World of Wine, a food-and-wine-pairing chart, and a top-10 list of wine-buying tips.
