Founded by Alan Ostroff and Anna Roberts Ostroff, a husband-and-wife team who studied at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, Infinity Theatre Company blankets Annapolis audiences with professional New York City theater. This summer's production of Little Shop of Horrors recounts a love story complicated by a bloodthirsty plant bent on destroying Earth and winning a 4-H blue ribbon for evil. Set to a foot-tapping score that borrows from rock, doo-wop, and early Motown, the quirky tale, which satirizes mid-20th-century sci-fi movies, was originally written and composed by Oscar- and Grammy-winners Howard Ashman and Alan Menken, the duo behind such classic Disney films as Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, and that film's obscure sequel, The Normal-Sized Mermaid.
