Q:

My wife has had chronic restless leg for years, can you help her with acupuncture and massage? Thanks, George F

George F.  asked on  Jun 20, 2013

A:

Hi George, and thanks for your question. The answer is Yes - but Systemic issues such as R.L.S. aren't covered. The only things we are treating under the Groupon promotion are General stress/relaxation & Orthopedic Pain management. For your wife, we would need to do a full assessment. From the assessment, we'd come up with some realistic goals and expectations. These are VERY different from the goals and expectations when treating just general stress or pain management. But, it would be a great and low-cost way for your wife to learn about acupuncture, try the procedure, and see if she even likes it - before committing any time or money to treating her condition. I hope this helps. My thanks, Tom Cohen

Q:

will you work on someone with COPD?

crystal l.  asked on  Jun 16, 2013

A:

Hello Crysal, and thanks for your question. In short, yes, with Dr. approval. I have worked with COPD in the past, with no contraindications. However, make sure you understand the limitations of this promotion. We would not be assessing or treating COPD, or any other issue outside of General stress/relaxation or Musculo-skeletal Pain management. This would be a good introduction to learn about acupuncture, see what it feels like & what the effects are - 1st hand. And then, if interested in treating COPD using acupuncture, we could talk about the assessment process and realistic expectations. I hope this helps answer your question. My thanks, Tom Cohen

Q:

If I purchase one for me and one for my husband, can they both be used on the same day?

angie f.  asked on  Jun 14, 2013

A:

Hi Angie, and thanks for your question. Absolutely. Depending on the availability of the time you request, I have two treatment rooms for Acupuncture - so you and your husband could get simultaneous treatments. I also have a second massage therapist, Christy. So, while one person gets a massage with me, the other could receive their massage from Christy. I hope this helps - My thanks - Tom Cohen
