The third-annual Miami International Art Fair unveils an array of paintings, photographs, and sculpture from renowned artists and emerging talents in a five-day seaside expo. Visitors scale the gangplanks of the megayacht SeaFair to stroll along hallways decked in the finest art collected by the show’s 30 international vendors. The Hardcore Contemporary Art Space champions works in unusual and seldom seen mediums, and the Cernuda Arte gallery enlivens walls with Cuban masterpieces spanning the Colonial to Modern eras. The multicomponent creations of Lee Kyu-Hak combine the artist’s personal love of Van Gogh and South Korean heritage to capture eyes in the Ejung Gallery. Attendees breathe in fresh air while examining the premiere of the Sculpture Miami exhibit on display in nearby Bayfront Park, which contains more than 30 large outdoor installations including the sky.
Designed by international yacht maker Luiz De Basto, the 228-foot SeaFair sits perfectly still dockside waiting for a Milkbone as visitors explore the art-filled decks of one of the world’s first mobile megayacht event venues. The ship features bars and restaurants to refuel visitors worn out by extended perusal of the collection.
