Romance, jealousy, music, comedy and a notorious bear all play a part in Intrepid Shakespeare Company’s scaled down, intimate production of one of the Bard’s later dramedies, staged at the Carlsbad Village Theatre. The Winter’s Tale centers around the suspicious King Leontes, who flies into a rage when he believes his pregnant wife Hermione and his good friend King Polixenes are lovers. By the time he discovers the truth, he’s lost everything. However, years later, a miraculous turn of events brings a chance for redemption.
