Bolster the career of a burgeoning ballerina or salsa tapper with today's side deal to Intrigue Dance and Performing Arts Center. For $65, you'll get two months of children's dance classes, a $160 value including registration fee.
This deal includes one class per week; choose from Intrigue Dance's variety of dance styles and levels, including tap, ballet, jazz, hip hop, creative movement, and a special class for little ones called Mommy and Me. Stick with one class and come each week to perfect your niece's pirouette or improve your son's shuffle (children must take classes consecutively because they are progressive). Children's classes are for ages 2 to 18, and Mommy and Me is for wee ones between 6 and 24 months old. Check out Intrigue's schedule for dance class times and descriptions.
Dance provides a disciplined outlet for rambunctious rugrats to expel energy on someone else's watch. Students learn discipline, self-expression, and the benefits of hard work and practice. The friendly instructors at Intrigue Dance are patient and understand the needs of students of all ages; each child receives individual attention.
Located in the South Loop off the Roosevelt El stop, Intrigue Dance is a convenient after-school activity for rhythmic teens and a great way to socialize tots and teach responsibility. Children may redeem their Groupon anytime in the next year. To be eligible for a June recital, students must redeem by 3/1/10.
If students wish to participate in a recital, the recital fee is not included in this Groupon.
Yelpers are yelping about Intrigue Dance, giving it an average of five stars:
- It was a very small class with only 2 of us plus the instructor which was nice. Definitely more one on one attention and the class moves at a faster pace with less students. – linda n., Yelp
- Studio space is a good [sic]and sound system was good as well. I took the beginner/intermediate ballet class with Pia (the owner who is so friendly!) and there were only 2 other people in the class. Pia gave lots of personal attention and I had a GREAT workout in the hour long class. I will definitely go back and have been telling my dancer friends about the studio as well! – Robyn T., Yelp
- It's really convenient for those who live south but also it [sic] right near the bus stop and the red, green & orange lines! – Jen M., Yelp
Intrigue Dance and Performing Arts Center
As a child, Pia Hamilton danced as Min on the children’s TV show Barney and Friends. Nowadays, she continues to showcase her love of dance at Intrigue Dance and Performing Arts Center, an all-ages studio she co-owns with her husband, actor Dustin Hamilton. The camera-seasoned duo has opened a spacious new facility that houses three dance studios, offering classes such as ballet, jazz, tap, and hip-hop. They also host musical-theater classes that impart genre-specific dance tips, such as never to dance directly in front of Annie. They accommodate multiple skill levels, introducing both kids and adults to the world of dance.
