How much does lidocaine injection cost? Will your technician be able to assess whether the mole benign or not? What's the qualification of your technician? I also looked up a business license on your web site and it doesn't mention mole removal procedures... Is the procedure generally similar to laser mole removal? Thanks Irina!

Q:

Does this apply to all skin protrusions? I'm not sure if what I have are moles -- reddish, protrusions, totally benign and painless.

Kierin  asked on  Jul 20, 2012

A:

There is no injection, we only use topical lidocaine, extra charge $10. Procedure is similar to laser mole removal. Our technician trained on removal of minor skin irregularities in California ,US. We require client consult doctor's office if mole is benign and can be removed.

Q:

I have a small (maybe 3 mm) protuberant mole on the lower eyelid. can it be removed even if it is close to eye? will it leave a visible scar?

Julie F.  asked on  Jul 19, 2012

A:

If the mole very closed to the eye you will have to see eye doctor, most of dermatologist would not touch it ether. You would need a special anesthetic to use if it very close to the eye.

Q:

How painful is the procedure? Also, with so many of the deals recently bought, is there a huge wait-list or do you think it is something I could get done in the next few weeks (I have a relatively flexible schedule).

Kelly C.  asked on  Jul 19, 2012

A:

With numbing topical anesthetic there is no pain. You can book appointment online right away and come to see us even this week or later on.

Q:

How long does the procedure take per mole, and how painful is it? It is possible to use numbing creams to reduce the pain? Thanks!

Nicki G.  asked on  Jul 19, 2012

A:

1 to 3 moles can be removed in one 15 min visit .It feels like bee bite, just a few seconds. It is possible to use a numbing cream (for extra charge) which has to be applied 30-40 min prior to appointment. We are also offering topical lidocaine to numb the area, it is works much faster (10-15 min).

Q:

Do you do all kinds of benign moles like moles that are flat and/or protruding? Do you do moles on the face? How many sessions does it usually take for 1 mole to be removed?

We can remove flat and protruding moles on face as well as on other body parts. This is one session deal in most of the cases.

Q:

What process do you use to remove benign moles?

James O.  asked on  Jul 19, 2012

A:

In our clinic experienced licensed technician uses a small electric instrument that looks like a pencil and essentially melts the mole. The current causes cauterization to mole’s root effectively killing and destroying the abnormal growth without damaging the surrounding tissues. In other words, it stops the blood supplies from flowing to specific area. Healing usually takes one to two weeks, and the area may remain slightly reddish or brownish for several months afterwards. Even if there is a slight color difference between that area and the surrounding skin it can usually easily be covered with makeup .The color, however, will almost always return to normal eventually.

J S.  asked on  Jul 18, 2012
