This was the BEST whale watching experience I've ever had. From the boat, captain & crew to the wildlife & whales - every aspect of this cruise was perfect! We actually got to see TWO separate groups of orcas hunting (the first group was in the mouth of the marina!). There were lots of spyhops, breaches, rolls, tactiles, and tail & fin slaps! It was awesome! 10/10 recommend Island Adventures.

It was a trip to remember! Orcas just seconds off the dock and a T-party of Bigg's killer whales! The activity was wild with a Steller sea lion hunt and plenty of surface behavior. We couldn't have asked for a more epic day out there! Our crew appreciates your kind words, and we're glad you enjoyed the Island Explorer 5. A crisp November day is no problem with our indoor heated cabins, outdoor covered areas, and hot beverages onboard. We're so glad you decided to join us on one of our last tours of the 2025 season!

They day got even more exciting with the T-party of Bigg's killer whales further west! The Salish Sea is a world-renowned destination for whale watching because we can see orcas consistently year-round. What a fun day on the water!

What an unforgettable first whale watch! What we see and where we go varies every day, and today we got to spend time with fifteen whales in total. We spent time with multiple pods of Bigg's orca whales and a humpback! Amazing! The tour was great and we saw a lot of whales! I appreciated that they were not in a rush and stopped to let us watch whales for as long as it took. The tour ended up being about four hours. I highly recommend this tour!

With the speed and range of our vessel, we have a high likelihood of finding whales and spending a good amount of time with them. This was a memorable day with a humpback whale and three pods of orcas -- including a thrilling harbor seal hunt with the T49A family of Bigg's orcas! It was wild watching them coordinate and take down two harbor seals successfully. The day was so fantastic that we did spend a bit more time on the water to take in all the whales in the area. We couldn't have asked for a better way to wrap up our October tours!
