We brought our car to the shop to be detailed. They were unable to detail the car at our home but did drop the car off when it was finished.

headlight restoration is a process where we restore headlamps to their factory finish resulting in better night time visibility and a 75% overall increase in driver safety.
How does this happen?
During the manufacturing process of your vehicle the headlamps are sprayed with a special clear enamel based clear coat that protects them from UV rays and damage. The break down of this enamel happens when you turn your headlights on, the heat emitted from the headlights forces the pores in the headlamps finish to open up. This causes the protective enamel to lose its "cling" to the headlamps plastic covering, as this enamel starts to lose its grip dirt and other contaminates begin to penetrate the protective enamels layering. These contaminates then embed themselves in the plastic covering clear finish resulting in "yellowing" or "hazing" causing the headlights to get dull and compromising nighttime visibility up to 85%.
Our solution to this issue is to use a special cleaning chemical to remove the factory enamel that has failed and the contaminates that are embedded in the headlamps plastic covering, once we have thoroughly cleaned the headlamps plastic covering we then apply a adhesion promoter to help our new enamel coating bond to the plastic cover and then polish it to show room standards.
