The Captain and Mate were very competent, friendly and knowledgeable. The Captain found us a group of 3 whales early on and seemed better able to predict the whales behavior than the other tour boats out there. The Mate (Jade) was happy to take pictures for everyone. Two things, though: 1) DON'T BE LATE. They run a tight schedule and won't wait. 2) The directions in the confirmation email are a bit vague. We had a hard time finding the boat. Google Maps will NOT be helpful.

I originally booked an Aloha Hour tour because I just wanted to get out on the water a little while I was visiting. Aloha Sails contacted me the day before to see if I would be interested in changing my booking (I did not ask why as I was really open to anything as long as it involved a boat), but I could not commit to another day so they offered to rebook me for the 8AM whale Watching tour the same day at no additional cost. I agreed. It was raining and no whales graced us with their presence (no one can control that) but I still enjoyed the trip. The staff was great, the playlist of local Island Reggae they played was perfect and I got my time on the water. I got drenched from the rain but I would do it again hands down- whales or no.

We had a nice snorkel and then got closer to whales than the whale watching tours. It was outstanding!
