Experience drama on the battlefield with today's deal: for $22, you get a full day of paintball—admission, gun, mask, goggles, CO2 tank, and 500 paintballs (a $45 value)—at Island Paintball in West Babylon. Bring face painting from carnivals to the sports turf inside Island Paintball's arena. Filled with inflatable air bunkers, the arena hosts two diverse fields that provide players with up to four customizable layouts. Find out who can keep their clothes the cleanest as you and your friends duck behind bunkers, roll across gaps, and resist the urge to nanny-nanny-boo-boo one another. Admission and equipment rental will last all day, and additional rounds can be purchased onsite as needed ($20 for 500 paintballs).
Since the 1980s, the Pennino Family has developed Island Paintball in tandem with the sport's evolving technology and increasing popularity. The facility is safe for players of all skill levels and ages as young as 10, so give a youngster an action-packed afternoon unseen since the Teletubbies' tummies tuned to wrestling. Reservations are required.
PBReviewers for Island Paintball react mostly favorably to the unique layouts and quality equipment:
- A great field! The "L" shape is a bit awkward at first, but it does provide for some interesting action. Likewise, the field constantly rearranges the bunkers meaning that every time you go to play the field dynamic and shooting lanes will be different and encompass new strategies. – Schosama, PBReview
- I enjoy comming [sic] here with my friends and having a great time. Without this establishment, I would not be as big of a paintball fan as I am today. – SplatCase, PBReview
- Almost all of the staff is friendly, helpful, and know alot [sic] about markers and equipment. They help out newer players, while also fixing high-end markers. – paintballdude88, PBReview

About Island Paintball
High-school social-studies teacher Anthony Pennino Sr. played his first round of paintball in 1985. By the following year Tony had gathered 20–30 friends and kin for paintball bouts on his family's private land. As demand for paintball guns and safety gear grew among his brigade of marksmen, he converted his basement into a makeshift store, supplying paintball accoutrement from home until moving into a storefront in 1990. Within two decades Tony and his clan formed the lauded paintball team the New York Dogs, opened their own indoor arena, and eventually combined that arena with their largest store yet.
That facility forms the backbone of Island Paintball, where a sports turf field hosts Model 98–brandishing players. In between games, players can watch other contests from behind the staging area's Plexiglas viewing windows or browse Island Paintball Supplies' gun wall and 12 massive showcases of paintball gear. An in-house gunsmith repairs any malfunctioning guns, which patrons can wield at open-play sessions and private parties.
