Origin Story: No Mambo, No Problem

Jorge Burgos and Rudi Lopez were friends working the daily grind at a mortgage company when they decided to combine their love of dance with their pal, ballroom dancer Tanya Kensinger, and founded Island Touch Dance Academy in early 2010. When not teaching rookie salsa savants on the art of the well-shaken hip, the trio circles the globe performing their energetic moves in front of salsa and bachata fans alike. Even when not engrossed in Latin rhythms, the three can't help but seek out beats at Tampa-area house and jazz clubs such as the Hyde Park Cafe.
