Commonly Asked Questions

Q:

1. What is the difference between a NuCanoe kayak and a sit-on-top kayak? 2. By "sit-on-top" kayak, do you mean the traditional sitting arrangement of "sitting down in" the kayak and not literally "on top" in a sort of free-style position?

Jannelle N.  asked on  Apr 18, 2013

A:

NuCanoe kayak is wider and more stable than a sit on top. It is for two people and easy to stand while fishing. The sit -On-top is just as it says you sit on the deck in seats and comes in 1 person or two person. We do rent traditional sit insides with skill training but it is not part of this offer.

Q:

I have 2 children (ages 7 and 10). I wouldn't trust either to be in a boat by themselves. Do you have any options covered by this Groupon where the 3 of us could be in the same boar?

Kristine J.  asked on  Apr 21, 2013

A:

There is an option in this groupon to use the NuCanoe which is a boat you paddle with a kayak paddle. Some of our double kayaks have a third seat which might work, but we cannot guarantee it will be available.

Q:

I know the Groupon expires on August 10. Will the NuCanoes still be available to rent during the last week of August?

Helene G.  asked on  Apr 21, 2013

A:

The Groupon could only be used for the price purchased during this time, since it would be expired.

Q:

Is the place where you pick up the equipment right at the water, so you don't need to transport the paddleboards yourself? And we have three people in our group - you can only buy one of these deals?

Farrah M.  asked on  Apr 19, 2013

A:

Equipment pick up is at the water but you sign up at the Snack Shack. The first two deals you can buy for yourself and a gift. The third deal you will need to have a friend purchase.
