Fully approved by the Department of State, the salesperson licensing course is taught by New York City– and New York State–licensed instructors and guidance counselors. The course runs for a total of 75 hours that are divided into 20 modules of three to four hours each and covers topics such as client assessment and how to select an ideal broker. A flexible schedule lets students begin classes at any time and take classes in any order and earn their license in as little as 14 days or as many as 6 months. Along with having a sponsoring broker, students must complete the full course and pass the course test before being able to take the state licensing exam, which requires a passing score of at least 70%. This Groupon does not cover the cost of the course textbook.
