Q:

Do you have the schedule for the rest of the year? I only see July August: http://www.nyrealed.com/salescal.html

Alex  asked on  Aug 3, 2012

A:

Dear Alex, Thank you for your inquiry. Please be advised that we post our scheduling for classes twp-3 weeks in advance. We always have classes Monday - Saturday at different times. However, you can complete all 20 modules of the 75hr. licensing course in about 2 weeks. Although Must people have to study to pass our exam. We have gotten an overwhelming response to Groupon and since this is fabulous in the fall we may start our Sunday Classes in the Fall again. Thus classes would be held everyday. However, we need a class to have at least 10 people to make it profitable for us to hire our teachers to provide you with your excellent education. If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact me. Ivy Beloff 212 244-9898

Q:

im not a citizen im here on viza, could i still take this class and exam? i have student viza

alex p.  asked on  Aug 3, 2012

A:

Good Morning. Please note that anyone can take the course and pass the exams. However, Unfortunately the requirements to become a NYS Salesperson are the following: .Must take the 75hr. Salesperson's Licensing Course in Approved School complete the modules and pass the school's test, . Register and Take the DOS's Test and pass it with a 70 percent or higher .Have a sponsoring broker whom they Must work under for a minimum of two years before they can go on to become a broker and meet those requirements .Be a US Citizen, Legal Alien (Green Card), or have a work permit from Immigration .Apply and pay $50.00 for each license as a NYS Salesperson Unfortunately the Student Visa is good for completing and taking course but are not sufficient to become NYS licensed Salesperson However, what you learn in this course is invaluable to anyone that is entertaining the possibility of purchasing a home, co-op, condo or even renting an apartment and definitely very insightful for investors. If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact me. Ivy Beloff, 212 244-9898.

Q:

Hi Ivy... I work full time and my hours are subject to change...(anywhere from 7am-9pm)... I am unsure that I will be able to find all 20 courses within a six month period.... If I am unable to find all of the courses within a sixth month period does the groupon expire and will I have to pay extra for courses which I did not complete within the 6mo time frame?

Brendan F.  asked on  Aug 2, 2012

A:

Brendan, Hi. Please note that we offer a very flexible schedule and even though you work anywhere from 7AM-9PM I am sure that you will be able to complete our course in the six month period. Please note that my school does think creatively and for the general public it is 6 months. However, we all have life events and the extras you get at my school is that I am a licensed NYS & NYC Guidance Counselor and there are exemptions to every rule. In the fall we will probably adding Sunday classes and as a need basis more classes. Groupon has been exceptionally successful. If you have any further questions please feel free to contact me. Q:

About 3-4 years ago, I took a similar course (75 hours in class - NYS Salesperson course) and pass both school exam and NYS Salesperson exam. The problem is that I never work for any real estate broker after taking the course/passing the exams. Do I need to retake the class/exam if I want to start working as RE Salesperson? Did the classes/exam I took few years ago expired? Thanks, Mike

Mike L.  asked on  Jul 30, 2012

A:

Dear Mike, Thank you for your interest in our school. Please note that the course is 75 hrs. Did you take the 75hr. course in an approved school and do you have that documentation? The DOS's test is only good for two years. You will need to take the DOS's exam again. Do you remember what you took from 3 years ago (probably not.)? This is an awesome deal on Groupon you really do need to study and refresh this course to pass the DOS's exam. There are so many new laws and as the acronym FOIL (Freedom of Information Law) we are all responsible for the laws. So as a refresher course this would be great at this Real Reasonable price. If you have any further questions please fee free to contact me. Ivy Beloff 212 244-9898.

Q:

Hi, I just wanted to verify something - on your website it says that the course is $375 - and here it says that the price is $425 - does it mean that the NY state fee and license are included in the price ?

Elena H.  asked on  Jul 28, 2012

A:

Dear Elana, Good afternoon. The course fee is $375.00. However, the groupon special includes one group tutoring class and that cost is $50.00 therefore your total package is worth $425.00. The NYS State fee to take your license is $15.00 and the fee for the license is $50.00 and they are separate fees. If you have any further questions please feel free to contact me. Q:

Hello. What is the schedule of classes. At what time classes begin? Do you have evening classes? Thank you!

Philip A.  asked on  Jul 27, 2012

A:

Dear Philip, Please note that schedule of classes are on our website www.nyrealed.com. Go to licensing. click on Salesperson and go to the header curriculum. You can begin at anytime. The beauty of our school is that we offer a flexible schedule so that you can do these classes in two weeks or as long as 6 months. Perhaps that is to long to remember everything? We do have evening classes and weekends. Tomorrow we have a class at 9AM. Module 2 Law of Agency. Please note that all 20 modules are independent of one another. You do not have to take module 1 before 2 they are all interrelated. If you have any further questions please feel free to contact me. Ivy Beloff 212 244-9898

Q:

Can this course be provided online and /or on weekends

Margarita P.  asked on  Jul 27, 2012

A:

Please note that this Special is for our brick and mortar school not for online. Online courses seem to be great for convenience however many students take even more than the 75hrs. to complete them. More important in our live classes you learn how to integrate the material you learn to the real world. IWe teach you how to evaluate your customer/clients in 20 minutes and if you do Not then they will go on to the next person, we also teach you who is a good broker for you! In addition we have networking parties where you meet other salespersons and brokers....even if you have a broker co-brokering is the name of the game. If you have any further questions please do Not hesitate to call me. Ivy Beloff 212 244-9898

Q:

Does the full course need to be completed by January or is enrollment the only thing that needs to be met by January?

Eric m.  asked on  Jul 27, 2012

A:

The full course needs to be completed by January. Truthfully, if you begin a course now and wait 6 months to complete this class you will be at a loss. There are a lot of laws, rules and regulations that you are taught, and to remember them and then take the final exam... it is way to long. In fact there is so much law that you learn you might think you are an attorney. But please note that you cannot give attorney's advise. If you have any further questions please feel free to contact me. Ivy Beloff 212 244-9898

Q:

I am looking for the discounted RE salesperson course in either Long Island Queens or Brooklyn, the closest to zip code 11553 or 11697 Thanks

Elaine F.  asked on  Jul 27, 2012

A:

Unfortunately, I do Not know of any discounted classes in the other Boroughs. Your trip here will be worth it! We are conveniently located to NJ Transit, LIRR, Penn Station 2 blocks from MSG. The knowledge you acquire at our school is not only the requirements to pass our tests and become licensed but you learn how to evaluate your customer and clients within 20 minutes. If you do not who really needs you in today's world and we teach you who is a good broker for you in addition to our networking parties. If you have any further questions please feel free to contact me. Ivy Beloff 212 244-9898
