I had new car and it failed it... not because they want to make money but ask me to check with dealership as it should be cover under warranty and than I have spend just for state Inspection. Which is not a lot.. but it was quick I and out with all details.. they share all photos and recommendation as well. Overall I can refer it to friends.

    • Pennsylvania State Inspection & Emissions Policy (Per PennDOT Publication 45): Payment for Pennsylvania State Safety and Emissions Inspections is required at the time of service regardless of pass or fail outcome. Inspection sticker fees apply only if the vehicle passes the safety inspection and are not included in any promotions, discounts, or Groupon offers. In accordance with PennDOT Publication 45, if a vehicle fails the Pennsylvania Safety Inspection and is removed from the inspection station premises, the vehicle must undergo a reinspection upon return, which will result in an additional reinspection fee. Emissions testing includes one complimentary re-test only if the vehicle fails the initial emissions test, provided the re-test is performed within 30 days at the original testing station. Vehicles must pass emissions testing in order to receive a Pennsylvania safety inspection sticker. Vehicles qualifying for the 5,000-mile emissions exemption are subject to an additional $25 listed service fee and must have fewer than 5,000 miles driven since the last inspection and be at least 365 days from the prior emissions test. Effective January 1, 2026, the Pennsylvania Program Management Fee will increase to $1.80, as mandated by the state.
