Choose Between Two Options

  • $8 for $16 worth of Cajun food and drinks
  • $13 for a punch card valid for four big-bowl entrees (a $27.96 total value), such as gumbo, etouffee, or jambalaya

The menu includes bowls of creole ratatouille ($6.99) and slow-cooked drunken chicken, seasoned with garlic and spices and served over rice ($6.99). Four types of po’ boys ($6.89 each) include the voodoo chicken topped with green onions and ‘voodoo sauce,’ or the shredded red-hot chicken in a spicy buffalo sauce crowned with blue-cheese crumbles.

J. Gumbo’s of SC

J. Gumbo's of SC embraces the spirit of Cajun food and culture, serving up gumbo and sweet tea to the tune of creole and Cajun beats. Slow-cooked gumbo simmers for more than four hours, before piling into bowls over tender chicken, smoked sausage, and rice. The authenticity of the eating experience is furthered by Louisiana-born products such as Abita root beer, Zapp's chips, and the kind of flat-screen TV preferred by most gators. The eatery also offers less traditional options such as NOLA nachos, which feature an amalgam of drunken chicken, white chili, cheddar cheese, jalapeños, and sour cream.

It's okay, I've had better, but I'd go there again. Good serving size and nice and warm in your belly on these cool winter days.
