Eating at home is so relaxing your body may fall asleep mid-digestion—ergo, it's best to eat as close to a game of pool as possible. Worry your way into a well-digested meal with today's Groupon: for $10, you get $25 worth of beer and pub fare at Jabu's Pub in Lower Queen Anne.
Jabu's Pub serves tasty pub grub and cold beers in a laid-back bar just north of the Seattle Center. Patrons snack on shareable appetizers such as parmesan pesto bread with marinara dipping sauce ($7) and sliced pita with Mediterranean spreads ($8). Hands not wrapped around cool drinks often find themselves clutching southwest chicken wraps spiced up with chipotle ranch dressing ($10) or a Rueben ($9) overflowing with homemade thousand-island dressing. Ground beef stylists accessorize basic burgers with chic toppings including bacon, blue cheese, and roasted red-pepper mayo on the Blues Burger ($11) and sautéed mushrooms and swiss cheese on Vinnie's Mushroom Burger ($11).
Every day of the week, Jabu's is an essential pre-game stop before any events in the Seattle Center. Fifteen regional and national draught beers flow from separate bars on each floor of the pub. Those without Seahawks or Sounders tickets can still watch games on the flat-screen TVs from the comfort of bar stools and booths. Indoor sportsmen lock metaphorical horns over games of pool or push the limits of video game skills in arcade cabinets locked and loaded with Buck Hunter and Ms. Pac-Man.
- I frequent Jabu's often and enjoy it all the time. There is an eclectic crowd; from regulars, theatre goers and sports fans. Two floors, one for an intimate dinner another big enough for a party, DJ or just a drink and dinner. – MelissaJe, Citysearch
- The food is delicious (I highly recommend the southwest chicken wrap or the pita platter). The bartenders are pleasant and efficient. The drinks are fairly priced. – Meran H., Yelp
