There are a lot of familiar faces at Jack's Place—Alfred Hitchcock, Andy Warhol, Katharine Hepburn, even Queen Elizabeth. That's because the restaurant is home to what Jack's says is the world's largest collection of caricatures, all drawn by namesake Jack Rosen, who spent 30 years as a caricaturist at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in Manhattan. His son Harris, president of Rosen Hotels & Resorts, proudly displays the oeuvre upon the steakhouse's walls, giving guests plenty to delight over after perusing the menu.
The menu is also an homage to the past of sorts, showcasing timeless recipes updated by modern techniques. Sustainable salmon glazed in a maple-bacon gastrique pairs with baby bok choy, and 21-day-aged filet can be ordered solo or accompanied by a half-pound lobster tail. There's also a lovely selection of wine for those who feel comfortable drinking out of a glass in public.
