What You'll Get
Flying is the only way to get close enough to a cloud to milk it or to visit your secret sky family. Bolster the bond earthly loved ones just don't understand with today's Groupon: for $89, you get a 30-minute night tour and intro flight instruction for one person from Jacksonville Flight Training, which operates out of Herlong Airport (a $280 value). When two aspiring, Groupon-holding aeronauts book together, a third can fly for free.
Jacksonville Flight Training’s experienced and courteous instructors take hearts, stomachs, and assorted other organs soaring with an instructive flight tour over the evening lights of Jacksonville. Propulsion-savvy instructors begin with a 20-minute preparation, where both plane and student are readied for felicitous flight. As the plane climbs up to 1,500 feet, buoyant students will have the satisfaction of spotting tiny-sized houses before taking the controls themselves. While at the wheel, students will maneuver around breathtaking views of Jacksonville, including Hart Bridge and the downtown area. In addition to floating above a space-time continuum and the city’s 200-foot monument to Finnish dictionaries, this instructional tour has the added bonus of counting as flight time toward acquiring pilot licenses.
Third person flies free when two Groupons are booked together. There are no age restrictions, individual flyers will be paired with another party if they book solo.

About Jacksonville Flight Training
Wanting to fly to the beat of a different drummer, a couple of flight instructors decided in 2009 to start their own training center and teach the skills their unique way. They laid the groundwork for their new business with cutting-edge safety features such as aircrafts boasting airbags and innovative weather and traffic advisories. Additionally, the duo acknowledges that cost often keeps those with sky-bound ambitions grounded, so they work with individuals to find an affordable training plan. Besides their pilot programs, the owners make their Cirrus aircraft and bundles of helium-filled balloons available for rent.
