Jai Ho - Boulder
Most menus don't stand out for their sense of humor. But Jai Ho's does—their spiced tilapia filet is pan-fried "with a vengeance," and their chili chicken dish comes "from Hyderabad with love, that too spicy love." And it's not surprising that the owners had so much fun putting this menu together. It almost reads like a love letter to India, showcasing beloved dishes from several regions throughout the country. Chettinad chicken curry and Ceylon-style dosas stuffed with mutton represent southern India. From the North come biriyanis—slow-cooked rice dishes with veggies or meat that are "the food of emperors." Even the bar pays homage to the motherland with a selection of Indian beers and rums, which double as cold tongue baths after spicy bites.
