What You'll Get
Creativity can strike at any time, whether you're near a canvas and brushes or beside a slumbering strongman and many rolls of toilet paper. Learn to build upon such opportune moments with today's Groupon: for $20, you get $40 worth of creative classes at jam in Scottsdale.
An active creative venue, jam jolts imaginations with a wide selection of community classes within the historic Charles Miller House. Local artists, tradespeople, teachers, and practitioners helm each session to itch right-sided brain hemispheres with knowledge and skills from a diverse spectrum of fields and hobbies, ranging from poker to calligraphy ($15–$35/class). Jammin Souffle for You will feature a local epicurean who, like a pyromaniacal Hamburglar, will guide students in the fine art of setting delicious treats ablaze (March 30). Meanwhile, a Michelangelo of manes will teach strand sculptors the techniques necessary to shape tresses in The Fundamentals of Blow-Drying (March 29). Other upcoming classes include Beginner's Chess (March 22), Pilates Education (March 16, 23, 30), and Oh My Doggie Massage (March 13), an interactive class where pet owners learn how to soothe canines stressed out from guarding houses and diversifying bone portfolios. Classes rotate every month; please regularly check jam’s calendar for updated offerings.
- JAM also offers a ton of different classes and services -- everything from pilates classes to arts and craft classes. I think there's a small chance that I could make a Martha Stewart masterpiece by taking a class from JAM. – Lindsey F., Yelp, 12/19/10
- While the shop boasts a fantastic jewelry collection, the classes are really the rabbit that's pulled out of the hat. – Katie B., Yelp, 1/29/11
