Q:

Is there a minimum age for this offer? Thanks!

R T.  asked on  Oct 28, 2012

A:

The minimum age for group lessons is 6 years old, however if you have a younger child we can do a more supervised lesson that would be more appropriate for those children.

Q:

How old do you have to be to take group lessons. I have a 4 1/2 year that is obsessed with horses and would like to learn to ride.

Tricia  asked on  Oct 29, 2012

A:

At 4 1/2 years we would recommend an abbreviated, more supervised form of lesson. This would be an option for lessons purchased with the Groupon.

I am considering buying 6 week packages for my two children. Do we need to initiate our lessons within 90 days or complete them in 90 days from purchase?

Lessons will need to be completed within the 90 day period to receive the discount, however the value of your purchased groupon can be applied to normal lessons outside of the 90 days.

Q:

Hi, I am an intermediate rider, having taken dressage for about 4 years, jumping about 2'8". I am not a "young" rider by any means. Would lessons here be appropriate to my riding level? I saw that the riding instructors are super skilled. I just don't want to try out a new barn to find it is mostly new riders. I am looking for a new, permanent barn and want to be challenged. I thought the groupon would be a good way to try out James Run Equestrian Center.

Terri G.  asked on  Oct 28, 2012

A:

You are absolutely right! Our instructors welcome all levels of riders and lessons are grouped together based on skill level. We also have a number of advanced level horses. Please just disclose your skill level when inquiring about scheduling.

Q:

Can a 4-year-old participate in this lesson? She has had 3 horseback-riding lessons already, and is very confident on a horse.

Linda  asked on  Oct 28, 2012

A:

Children of a younger age are welcome to participate, however we will structure the lesson differently and do it in a more supervised manner.
