The Jane Franklin Dance Company believes that creativity has no age limit, and it's created this stunning performance to prove it. Join Forty+, a group of women dancers all over the age of 40, as they re-create works by local contemporary choreographers Andie Ligon de Vaulx, Emily Crews and Jane Franklin, to music by Truman Harris of Eclipse Chamber Orchestra. Ligon de Vaulx's piece, Just Wear a Scarf, addresses the appropriateness of suitable attire for the well-dressed woman, while Crews' Dance Squared is an energizing twist on a traditional square dance. Franklin's work, Thanks and Please Pass the Potatoes, invokes a cordial setting with familiar persons in a dysfunctional gathering, all of which will highlight the timeless power of dance and the unlimited boundaries of creative expression.
