At Jasmin Garden, the chefs take their dumplings seriously—at least, that's what the customers who keep returning for more say. Everywhere throughout the Chinese restaurant, diners warm their stomachs with specialty xiao long bao, Shanghai-style steamed soup dumplings served in a steamer basket, and sheng jian bao, pan-fried soup dumplings. The soup is actually served inside the delicate dough pockets, not just underneath them. The bao pair with any of a number of other Chinese dishes, including fish-head soup, black-pepper beef, and noodles.
