Jazz at Lincoln Center celebrates iconic composer Billy Strayhorn's 100th birthday with Lush Life. For this special evening, the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis will be joined by acclaimed pianist Johnny O'Neal, who's worked with such legends as Art Blakey, Ray Brown and more. Together they'll bring Strayhorn's vast repertoire to all its lush life on stage at the Rose Theater. Best known for his long and fruitful collaboration with the Duke Ellington Orchestra, Strayhorn's standards range from the rich romanticism of "Lush Life" and "Something to Live For" to hard-swinging favorites like "Take the 'A' Train" and "Johnny Come Lately."
