What You'll Get
When a troupe of disco dancers set out to explore America's wildernesses in the 1970s, they had to waterproof polyester tents with pomade, start fires with mood rings, and refill swimming pools with waterbed sap. Wander the woods with modern panache with today's deal: for $20, you get two full-day recreation passes to Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park in Robert (a $40 value). Children younger than 3 are admitted for free.
Although the tranquil, woodsy surroundings give a sense of "roughing it," Jellystone Park's swimming pools, sport courts, and outdoor-recreation activities foster a more contemporary version summer fun. Two full-day recreation passes enable patrons to experience BooBoo's Fun in the Sun, Day in the Park (a $20 value/person) with access to a plethora of park amenities, including spaces for volleyball, basketball, and baseball. Visitors can float in the pool or grab one of the park's canoes, kayaks, or pedal boats to explore the lake or stage small-scale riverboat casino operations. Miniature golf putting practice will increase players' confidence, and flinging horseshoes may increase finesse when throwing human shoes during the upcoming family-reunion season.
