What You'll Get
The islands of the Caribbean are known for their white sandy shores, their deep blue waters, and their regularly erupting rum geysers. Enjoy a taste of island life with today’s Groupon: for $10, you get $20 worth of Caribbean fare and drinks at Jerk’s Island Grill in Covington.
Jerk’s Island Grill imports the island experience to the mainland with authentic Caribbean grub and tropical drinks served amid a colorful cabana environment. After perusing the menu, start a conga line of consumption with appetizers such as the Rasta shrimp, with lightly battered crustaceans tossed in a sweet-and-spicy coconut chili sauce and topped with toasted coconut ($6.95). Satiate shipwrecked salivary glands with a Big Jerk burger, featuring a half-pound of certified Angus beef topped with grilled pineapple, smoky bacon, and served in a toasted brioche-bun treasure chest ($10.95). Caribbean entrees such as the citrus grilled mahi-mahi marinate the tongues of landlubbers in citrusy bliss ($15.95), while kids’-menu items such as the gooey banana sandwich ($3.95) and grilled PB&J ($3.95) keep tikes from running off to smelt fancy cutlery into cannonballs.
Lively, beach-themed décor embraces diners as they sip on a selection of signature drinks ($7.50 each), including the thirst-plundering Iggy’s Pirate Punch and the Lime in da Coconut, a blend of Cruzan coconut rum, crème de banana, Sprite, and fresh lime juice. Patrons can also soak themselves in a bevy of bottled and draft beers while summoning the courage to tell their wives that their wedding rings have been whittled from bars of soap.
- I tried the shrimp pastafarian and the only improvement to the dish would have been a loaf of french bread because you do not want to waste a drop of the sauce. Very yum. – Anne, Urbanspoon
- Cool Place! If you ever go to Jerk's, definietly try the Island Stack and Rasta Shrimp appetizers both are awesome! – Lee, Urbanspoon

About Jerk's Island Grill & Daiquiri Bar
The margarita- and Jimmy Buffet–loving owners of Jerk's Island Grill & Daiquiri Bar started dreaming up their perfect restaurant while on a free-spirited pilgrimage to the Caribbean. They soaked up island culture, memorizing their favorite food, drinks, and vibes, which they enthusiastically transported to the U.S. and installed in Jerk's Island Grill & Daiquiri Bar's dining room, down to the shady palm trees stretching overhead. There, diners sit down to plates of Caribbean-inspired cuisine spiced up with a staggering selection of colorful cocktails. In the kitchens, quality beef, chicken, and seafood are rubbed down with the restaurant's signature jerk seasoning and plated up as sandwiches, tacos, and entrees. A row of churning dispensers mixes up 13 different frozen daiquiri varieties, and bartenders handcraft specialty margaritas and punches on request beneath a thatched cabana. Diners can sip their drinks out on the sunny outdoor patio, where families dine while enjoying the weather and searching the sky for clouds shaped like the heads of U.S. presidents.
