About Jerusalem Restaurant
More than 40 years ago, a trio of brothers resolved to bring Middle Eastern food to the Toronto area. They founded the first Jerusalem Restaurant—a precedent for the two that would follow in North York and Mississauga. Today, all three eateries remain family-owned and serve up halal meats in their all-you-can-eat buffets.
Guests line up for dishes from falafel and hummus to skewered beef, lamb, and liver, returning for more until they are full or their arms are sufficiently buff from carrying plates. Live entertainment also draws visitors, whether it's in the form of undulating belly dancers at the North York venue or live music at the Mississauga one.
