This experience is terrible no customer service!! I reserved a time slot for Friday drive 2 hours to get there for them to call me and ask for MORE money after I paid taxes and Tip on Thursday. I said I was 15 mins away and they said no they moved us to Sun since they didn’t have 10 people I had 4 kids with me to do this SO VERY UNPROFESSIONAL ! Asked for a refund and they told me no.

To Groupon I am writing to formally report what I believe to be a fraudulent and unsafe Groupon listing for a Christmas hayride advertised in River Oaks, Houston, and to request a full refund for the two admissions I purchased. The advertisement uses photographs from the legitimate River Oaks Christmas Hayrides of Houston, which are widely known to be free and open to the public. However, the service being provided is not the same experience shown in the listing. The actual operation involved an unsafe vehicle and trailer used to transport passengers, which did not match the advertised images or description. Specifically, the trailer used was extremely small, overcrowded, and lacked basic safety measures, including reflective safety tape and a rear gate to prevent passengers from falling off. In my assessment, the setup posed a serious risk to public safety. My companion and I arrived at the designated meeting location, River Oaks Baptist Church, as instructed. The hayride was scheduled to begin at approximately 7:00 PM (1900 hours), but the operator arrived late and did not begin loading passengers until approximately 7:18 PM. During this time, passengers were loaded onto the unsafe trailer despite clear overcrowding. When I raised concerns regarding the false advertising and safety hazards, the operator became confrontational, and the situation escalated into an aggressive verbal altercation that nearly became physical. Additionally, despite purchasing the Groupon, we were told that taxes and gratuity had to be paid separately outside of Groupon, which was not clearly disclosed in the advertisement. Ultimately, my companion and I were unable to ride at all due to the unsafe overcrowding conditions, with passengers tightly packed on the trailer. When we requested a refund, the operator refused. After the incident, I reviewed similar complaints and negative reviews related to this offering, which I regret not reviewing prior to purchase. I have also consulted with my attorney regarding this matter at approximately 10:13 AM today. Please be advised that if no corrective action is taken and someone is injured as a result of this operation, Groupon may bear responsibility for continuing to host and profit from this listing despite known safety concerns. I am formally requesting a full refund for the two admissions purchased for this falsely advertised Groupon. I have attached supporting documentation and images for your review. I expect prompt attention to this serious matter.

The merchant operates without restrictions and uses Groupon as a tool to scam customers. Groupon must take immediate action and remove him from the platform to stop this ongoing theft. Warning: This Merchant is a Scam – Avoid at All Costs!! This merchant PTI*JETSKIHOUSTON AUSTIN TX (AKA: Samuel) uses Groupon to run a scam without any restrictions. The advertised service is never delivered. After paying $153.90 for the Groupon, I was forced to pay an extra $116.69 for “Taxes, Fees & Gratuity” and $458.69 for the full price of the service. Total rip-off! The booking process is deliberately confusing. The links provided don’t allow proper reservations, they’re designed to trick you into paying more. The merchant hides the departure address until the last minute, creating stress and forcing additional charges. The vehicle used is unsafe, falling apart, and nothing like the photo on Groupon. We even had to wait while he put gas in because he wasn’t prepared. He demanded punctuality but arrived over 20 minutes late. Customer service? Rude and unhelpful. Do not buy this Groupon. It’s a scam, and Groupon needs to remove this merchant immediately!!!

It is ridiculously overcharging in fees outside of the Groupon price.
