Q:

What are the prices for the various filming of the flight? Is there a discount for two people attending activity together?

Matt H.  asked on  Apr 27, 2013

A:

Hey Matt, we have two video packages. Both are HD videos edited to your choice of music. The only difference between the two packages is the number of camera angles. The Standard Video is a single angle, filmed by our videographer on our support jet ski in the water next to you. The Premium Video adds two more angles, one mounted on the shoulder of the jetpack to get the first-person perspective and one mounted on the control arm to capture your smiles, hoots and hollers as you fly. You can see examples of both videos here: http://www.jetpackamerica.com/all-products/gopro-video-footage The prices are $79 for the Standard and $149 for the Premium. Since they require the same amount of filming and editing, regardless if they're combined or not, we can't offer discounts for combined videos. The cool thing though is that if your video gets 200 or more YouTube views, you get a free 20-minute return flight and if you get 1000 or more videos, you get a free yearly membership, so the video more than pays for itself if you share it with your friends.

Q:

I am new to swimming and have been learning in a pool 6' deep. I want to do this but I don't know if I need to be a swimmer. Can you put some light on it?

Prakash J.  asked on  Apr 25, 2013

A:

Prakash, while you don't have to be a strong swimmer, you do have to be comfortable in the water. During the learning process, you will most likely be going into the water with your head fully submerged. The pack floats and you're wearing a life vest, so there's no risk of sinking, but the more comfortable you are in the water, the easier the learning process will be. Hope this helps.

Q:

Do you have to be at any certain level of "fitness" to do this? Do you need to sign a waiver? Are there any physical conditions which would preclude doing this? (I imagine being pregnant, for instance!) Thanks!

Cristine J.  asked on  Apr 25, 2013

A:

No "fitness" level required, just a comfort level with being in the water, since you start off in the water and should expect to get wet during the learning process. We've flown everyone from 16 to 85 years old and 100 lbs to 350 lbs. We even flew and amputee and a quadriplegic. No pregnant flyers allowed and you should consult your physician if you have any medical issues that may preclude you from activities such as this. Before your flight you will need to sign a liability waiver.

Q:

How big of a group can join a two hour session or is it just strictly one on one?

Jeanne M.  asked on  Apr 25, 2013

A:

Jeanne, the two hour session is typical for one pilot. For each additional person in your group, you should expect to add about 30 minutes to the total time. In other words, a group of two should expect to be here 2:30 hours, three people will be here 3:00 hours, four people will be here 3:30 hours, etc. If you're a group, we'll do all of the basic training together, then each person will do their flight time one at a time. Hope that helps. Give us a call at 888-553-6471 if you have any other questions.

Q:

I just purchased a weekday pkg, may I change it to the weekend one & pay the diff?

Lorena E.  asked on  Apr 25, 2013

A:

Lorena, you can use the weekday Groupon on the weekend. You'll just need to pay the $30 weekend upgrade the day of your flight.
