Commonly Asked Questions

Q:

What is the extra fee for the synthetic oil service?

Elda M.  asked on  Jul 15, 2013

A:

Elda- it can vary depending on whether you choose a higher grade synthetic or if you need more than 5 qts. But generally our synthetic oil change with 5 qts of Pennzoil synthetic oil is $72.99 versus the $39.99 conventional so your additional charge will be $33 . (Ontop of the $20 you pay for the Groupon. Essentially, you still get the $20 off)

Q:

I have a 2006 jeep commander 4x4 with a v8 (not the hemi), and I know that the jeep requires more than the 5qts, is there an extra charge for this??

Pedro A.  asked on  Jul 16, 2013

A:

This deal is for up to 5 qts of conventional oil. Our cost for each additional quart of oil: Conventional: $5.99 High Mileage or Synthetic Blend: $6.99 Synthetic: $8.99. You can call the store and have them quote your specific vehicle-- as that model has three different types of requirements. That vehicle may also need a synthetic oil only- and that oil change is $72.99 instead of the $39.99 that today's deal is for. You can still purchase today's deal, and you will get a credit for what you purchased. But you will need to pay the additional $33. Again, would recommend that you call the store and get a quote.

Q:

I asked if they were going to charge me extra for my 1986 Mercedes. It is diesel but that is not my concern. These cars have protection panel on the undercarriage and some lube stores want to charge me more because they have to take the plate off the bottom to access the oil exchange area? I want to know if Jiffy Lube is going to want to charge me more for that?

Twain T.  asked on  Jul 15, 2013

A:

Hi Twain, I wanted to check on a few things before responding. We will not charge you more to remove the skid plate (and if you have any issue whatsoever, you can tell the store that this was cleared with District Manager David E. beforehand) -- but there will be additional fees for the extra qts of oil. (Believe your car holds 10, and this Groupon is only for 5 qts.) To get the best closest price estimation, you really should call the store with your model number as well.

Q:

If I buy this deal today, how long is it good for? I just had all my fluids changed out the last week of June. My next visit is scheduled for October.

Darrel R.  asked on  Jul 15, 2013

A:

The deal is valid for 90 days from date of purchase... so if you purchased today, it would expire on 10/15/13. So you would just want to watch your dates closely to make sure you don't miss out. If the deal expires before you use it, it becomes a $20 voucher instead.

Q:

Cost for an oil change for a 2002 Dodge 2500 pickup diesel using Rotella oil?

Daniel R H.  asked on  Jul 15, 2013

A:

Hi Daniel, You should call your local store to be 100% - but I believe that your car holds 12 qts- and would price as follows. You would then get a credit subtracted from these prices based on the discount your get from Groupon. Conventional oil change $ 80.27 Synthetic oil change $ 149.23

Q:

Is there an extra charge for high mileage (non-synthetic) oil?

Hilton C.  asked on  Jul 15, 2013

A:

Yes, there is. This deal is for up to 5 qts of conventional oil, and you would just need to pay the difference for the high-mileage. Please note that ontop of an extra charge for the high-mileage oil, the high-mileage oil change also carries a higher fee, for which again, you will need to pay the difference. But you will still get the $20 discount from today's deal.

Sorry Patti, unfortunately this deal is only good at these participating locations. While there is a store closer to you, they aren't participating.
