About Jim McLean Golf Schools
Over the course of a decorated golf career that stretches back to 1975, Jim McLean has demonstrated a remarkable ability for self-expansion. After a playing career highlighted by two U.S. Open Championship qualifications, he went on to design acclaimed golf courses and even developed trademarked instructional apparatuses that help players develop correct swing mechanics. However, perhaps his greatest accomplishment is founding his eponymous golf school at SunRidge Canyon Golf Course.
The school has become a proving ground for his tried-and-true instructional philosophies, enabling him to help thousands of golfers improve their game and even landing him gigs as the Editor of Instruction at two of the foremost golf media outlets: Golf Digest and The Golf Channel. Lessons—conducted by Jim's hand-picked instructors—help players hone swing components such as setup, grip, and posture, while taking into account the physical attributes of each student. The game is then broken down into four parts: the long game, the short game, the course management game, and the mental/emotional game. Taken together, the approach can help players master every obstacle to on-course success, from difficulties with putting to consoling a bawling playing partner.
