Food is personal at Jimmy-B's Ale House. Sure, 10-ounce black Angus burgers, overloaded salads, decadent pastas, and pot roasts are natural crowd-pleasers. But at Jimmy-B's, they're placed on the menu not only for their comforting flavors and heartiness, but because they're favorites of the restaurant's friends. Steve's home fries come with sandwiches; Jimmy's Classy Salad in a Silver Bowl draws metal detectors when the last cranberry is gone; Beth's black bean burger satisfies sans beef; and Chrisy's Cuban showcases ham and Swiss just the way Chrisy likes it. Restaurants have been part of Jimmy B's family identity ever since his great grandfather opened an Oak Park eatery in 1892. Jimmy himself has spent over 30 years in the industry, and in allying himself with Steve Fotos and Harold Oliver—of the fries and Harold's beer-battered cod, respectively—he shares this heartfelt approach with the Naperville community.
