What You'll Get
A restaurant meal is incomplete without its after-dinner mint, which cleanses the palate before patrons gnaw a subterranean tunnel home. Chew the scenery with today’s Groupon to Jinx Kitchen + Lounge, located in the Pearl District. Choose between the following options:
- For $15, you get $30 worth of Thai fare and drinks for dinner, served from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.
- For $8, you get $16 worth of Thai fare and drinks for lunch, served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Jinx Kitchen + Lounge’s spice-infused menu of classic Thai dishes warms midsections amid an inviting atmosphere. Eclectic light fixtures bathe the eatery’s sleek, rounded bar, where guests can split shareable dishes such as crab and cheese wontons ($7). In a nondenominational culinary ceremony, chefs marry a choice of chicken, tofu, veggies, or shrimp ($1.50 extra) with entrees ranging from the tamarind-sauce-drenched pad thai ($10) to vegetables immersed in yellow curry ($10). During lunchtime, tom yum soup ($5 for a medium; $8.50 for a large) and garlic-pepper-saturated veggies ($7) help to spice up debates about whether artwork displayed on the restaurant’s nutmeg- and cream-hued walls was painted with a brush, a sponge, or a porous clown nose.
Jinx Kitchen + Lounge is closed on Sunday.
