A Chat with Jodi Jacobs Photography
What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
I like to talk with my clients before and throughout the shoot in order to make them feel more comfortable. Their confidence and love for each other really shines, when they’re more comfortable.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
I was inspired to start my photography business after going through an intense producing and directing program at the University of Southern California, where I also learned a great deal about cinematography. After the program I picked up a camera and haven’t looked back since.
What do you love most about your job?
I love the one on one interaction with my clients. I’ve always loved getting to know new people and a sort of a peek inside their life. The post process is always fun too because I get to play around with different looks and really bring out what the client asked for, from day one.
What is the best reaction you’ve ever gotten from a customer?
I’ve been really fortunate with the clients I’ve had thus far, and how much they love what I’ve shot for them so that, of course, is something I never tire of hearing. Additionally, it makes me really happy to hear how comfortable I’ve made people feel throughout the entire process.
