Joe Dumars’ Fieldhouse’s HD golf simulators whisk club-toting compatriots away to the vividly replicated fairways of some of the world’s most famous golf courses. Graphically reconstructed from high-resolution digital images and precise satellite data, each course’s two-dimensional doppelgänger captures the pristine character of its real-world counterpart while also retaining each course’s signature slopes, treacherous hazards, and sarcastic caddy witticisms. The simulators deftly mimic the majestic landscapes of some of the world’s best links including Pebble Beach, Casa de Campo, Banff Springs, and Harbour Town, allowing gung-ho golfletes to compete against each other on the legendary putting surfaces of Amen Corner or the confounding corridors of Spyglass. An exhaustive array of sensors meticulously measures each powerful drive and pinpoint approach, simulating the shot by taking into account captured data such as spin, launch angle, club path, and the contents of patrons’ most recent meal. As the action settles, players can plunk down for a celebratory feast of pies, pitchers, and sudsy libations before returning home and mowing their prized shag carpets into an in-home putting green.

About Joe Dumars Fieldhouse
Founded in 1994 as a community-based recreation center, Joe Dumars Fieldhouse is a 100,000-square-foot facility that houses sports leagues and camps in addition to an arcade-equipped entertainment center and an indoor/outdoor restaurant. Dumars' value of sportsmanship lives on through league play and pickup games on one of nine basketball courts and in two full-sized hockey arenas. Camps and clinics provide activity-based instruction to little ones, and the entertainment center's mini-golf and mini-bowling areas host small-scale enjoyment without enforcing miniature-shoe rentals. After rigorous activity, guests can head to Joe's Southern Grill, an arena-themed eatery with tables made from the Pistons' NBA-championship basketball court and a kitchen supervised by head chef Bill Laimbeer.
